Description

The illustration shows a cross-section of an Aristolochia macrophylla stem. This climber grows densely on walls and trees, and its large heart-shaped leaves make it an excellent „green wall”. The creeper can reach up to 20 meters in length. Kokornak flowers are unique - they have a swollen base and a cap-like cover on top. They are pollinated by insects attracted to their strong scent, and a special mechanism in the inner part of the flower traps the insect and then releases it, covered in pollen.
