Description

Two types of „spikes” are visible on the surface of the virus. Hemagglutinin (abbreviated as HA) is colored light blue and consists of three members responsible for attaching to the host cell. Neuraminidases (abbreviated as NA) are highlighted in blue and resemble a four-leaf clover. These are enzymes that can cut through cell membranes, allowing the virus to exit the cell after replication.
