This is an artistic illustration of OGLE-2016-BLG-1195Lb, a planet discovered using the microlensing technique. The planet was described in a study published in Astrophysical Journal Letters in 2017. Although OGLE-2016-BLG-1195Lb has a mass similar to Earth and is located at a distance from its parent star comparable to the distance between Earth and the Sun, similarities may end there. This planet is nearly 13,000 light-years away from us and orbits a star so small that scientists are not sure if it is even a star
