Interacting Galaxies Arp 142

30cm x 40cm - no frame (print only)

Once a serene, flat spiral disk, the stars of NGC 2936 have been thrown into disarray due to the gravitational forces unleashed by the neighboring galaxy, NGC 2937. The elegant spiral structure is distorted, and interstellar gas stretches out into immense tails. During their encounter, gas and dust from the heart of NGC 2936 become compressed, igniting a flurry of new star formation. Brilliant blue knots dot the distorted arms closest to the elliptical companion. In contrast, NGC 2937, the elliptical companion, appears as a sphere of stars with minimal gas or dust. While the gravitational tango with its neighbor may have influenced the orbits of its stars, the impact seems less pronounced. Arp 142 resides 326 million light-years away in the southern constellation Hydra. Above this galactic duo, an unrelated bluish galaxy, known as UGC 5130, catches our attention. It presents itself as an elongated irregular or possibly an edge-on spiral galaxy. Positioned 230 million light-years away, it lies closer to us than the colliding pair and remains unaffected by their interaction.

Exhibition quality works

We are convinced that your walls deserve high-quality art. That's why we offer only individually created prints on paper and canvas art, made using top-quality equipment and materials.

Paper

When choosing paper prints, you can be sure that you will receive a product made from original, certified premium Epson paper (Epson Premium Semigloss 251gsm). This guarantees you museum-quality and durability. It should be noted that such paper is 100-300 times more expensive than the paper used in mass printing, but it is thanks to it that we can ensure long-term color preservation and resistance to fading in the sun.

Inks

Our prints are made using original 12-color Epson inks (Epson UltraChrome). Thanks to this, we can guarantee the highest color reproduction and long-term color durability. Using certified 12-color ink sets is 30-60 times more expensive than using cheap 4-6 color ink sets, but we believe that delivering the highest quality print is worth it and will satisfy every customer.

Classic canvas art

Painting on canvas

Our classic canvas art is made on a special cotton-synthetic fabric that provides durability and resistance to mechanical damage. After printing, the art is stretched over a wooden frame, creating a product ready to hang on the wall. This is the perfect choice for those looking for an elegant and durable solution to decorate their interior
